I am running for Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County (15th Sub-Circuit Lipinski Vacancy) to make a difference.  To insure that justice is carried out with honesty, integrity, competence and professionalism. As a Chief Executive to one of Cook Counties most dynamic, diverse and vibrant communities, I understand the meaning of public service, excellence in customer service delivery, social justice, fairness and compassion, strength and determination.  I believe we need a Judge who knows and understands the communities they serve; and most importantly the people they serve.

 

Our entire Democracy is dependent on a balance between the “Three Estates of Governance”, the Executive, the Legislative and the Judicial.  While we all pay attention to the first two tiers, how often do we allow unqualified, inexperienced individuals to advance to the position of Judge?  How often are questions of ethics or conflicts of interest raised by those who hold office?  How often is real justice served? 

 

Working in the private sector for 25 years, I understand the pressures of business and the legal complexities of succeeding in a competing environment.  Serving as a School Board Member and Village President, I understand the need to guard and steward our economy, our environment and our sense of community.  I have witnessed all too often the good works of Community Volunteers, Homeowner Associations’, Business and Community Leaders be undermined by poor decisions of the Courts.  As your Judge, I will defend what you have worked so hard to create and maintain!

 

The People of the Chicago Southland deserve the best!  They deserve an individual who possesses the legal skills and judgment that only comes from trying cases for more than 25 years, one who has a strong record of commitment to public service, and one who is committed to insuring fairness in the courtroom to all parties.  We deserve a judge who understands and adheres to the Rule of Law!
